Updates: Utility bills ..

Sequel to my utilities bill ...

In a way, i'm impressed with our utilities bills, as its not really high.

Despite the "medium" usage ...

But i do know some of my neighours are even better.

Aircon every night and bills are same as mine. :p

As in, I even have few nights of aircon (can't stand the heat for some nights)

Plus lots of cooking etc.

Having good electrical appliance that are energy-saving is important.

For now, there's two electrical appliances that are switched on 24x7, the fridge and the water treatment system.

Hope can keep this up ... Not just savings on the pockets, but to the environment.

The less we use, the better the environment i guess.. :)

The above is based on 2person in a household ..

Happy Anniversary!

It's our 6th of partok, 4th year of rom anniversary

Time passes so fast... :)
And we have our lovely and blessed home too.

Now pending the additional of tiny feet...

Went for ramen, didn't really celebrate as was quite packed for this weekend.
What matter most is the company of each other. ;)

Home-made kaya

Frankly, didn't know it can be so easy.
As I've heard how tedious it is, standing and stirring for 3-4hours non-stop!

But managed to make it in less than a hour.
And it did taste like kaya as my colleague remarked. Haa..

Stirring is still required of course, but not as intense as 3-4hours. :)

是大家的生日。

准备了丰富的一餐给我们的家人。

全都是新鲜的。

也为每一道菜取了个吉祥的名字。

第一道，七彩青！

主要因为有七样菜。

我家婆说人日一定要吃这道菜。

第二道，年年有＂鱼＂

这是港式蒸鱼。

刚学的一道菜。

第三道，哈哈大笑（虾）！

新年必吃的一道菜。

吃了大家有的算！

接下来，让大家吃的乐融融！

甜甜蜜蜜因为这个汤，甜甜的。

Teochew Braised duck

Made my first braised duck!
Always feel its a difficult task.
Thus can only see my mil doing, but I dare not try.

But now... I can do it, especially through a easy way.
No need watch fire too. :)

Meetup with my kindy friends!

Haa.. Yes, kindergarten friends from PCF ..
That will be like , 24-25 years ago?

And yesterday, dug out a photo that we took, during nana's wedding.
That's 2007, which is 4years ago!

Frankly, i think we still look the same. haa..

Okay, I looks fatter now. i admit. Haa..

Shall arrange another meetup soon.
Coz I feel, friendship is something, we should build up, and maintain in contact (no need everyday but at least, once in a while?)

Yes, i'm going on a holiday!!

This time, going on a night flight, so shall slp on plane and wake up fresh for the trip. (hmm.. usually i have no problem falling aslp la)

Where i'm going this time?

Well, not whole of taiwan, mainly Hua Lien and Taipei. :)

Only 6 days, so cant be too adventurous...

In fact, going spend two nights @ Hua Lien.

At this lovely place!

Its a Min-su （民俗)

A very pretty one for sure.

Well, if go with my hubby, will be so romantic and guess whole day spent indoor .. Oops...

will be bringing my favorite novel there.. to bask in the lovely scenary.
Also, this time, Beri going with me!

After that, travel on train to Taipei.

Hope to complete at least 2 night market (夜市) , no, not going to the one featuring at 夜市人生 (i don't know where there is too)

Planning to go a themed cafe (shall not reveal, wait for photos)， as well as to a favorite restaurant i went the last time with Eben （ya, its been two years)

Ohh, the exciting part is.. we going to 穿美美!

as well as画美美.

This is to show, Singaporeans do dress up nicely when aboard! ;)

Belated birthday dinner for PY!

Met up with PY on tuesday evening for a belated birthday dinner.
Supposed to be last Thursday but I was sick thus Eben dear dun allow me to go out.

Brought her to PS Cafe @ Palai renaissance.




Nice ambiance, abit dark thou.
Seated by the windows, all is nice except.. The blinds is really dusty. :p

Healthy lunch from cold storage!

Had this for lunch today!
Feel so satisfied and so healthy!

Plus the cost of the set make it more alluring. Jus the wrap, $4.50
Whole set (wrap, fruits, drink) - $5!!

Not sure if all cold storage gas this thou. :)

The set comes with fruit salad and a bottle of soda!
(ok, soda might not be really healthy)

POP!

Popping time!
POP: Passing Out Parade

For my youngest brother!
After 4 months plus, he shedded almost 11kg.

Impressed right?
He had become more fit too. :)

We, my parents and Eben dear went to his pop last Saturday.
These days, it's held at marina floating platform.
Thus lovely scenery and more representative, as National Service is all about training our men to protect our beloved country, Singapore!

Didn't realize some parents are KS, thus only manage seats at center rows.

My bro told me some of the parents are like paparazzi, chased after them while they marched at night.

He said they start marching from 6pm.
From changi point, via east coast park, to marina floating platform.
In all, 28km!

Impressed!

Lazy Sunday

Ya, it's cooking time during the weekend.

Somehow I can't stop n sit n laze, thus prepare these items on a sun evening.

- Muah Chee
- alphabet soup
- smoothies

For muah Chee, easy to make.
But need control the 火候.




And the alphabet soup, it's a 童年食物.
Sweet de, not savory




Regarding smoothies, not really successful thou.
Wrong fruits I guess.

Now I know, oranges not for smoothies, too much fibers, :p
